You are a lawyer with one desk above a laundromat.

Tap to work a case and get paid a dollar. Spend what you earn so the next case pays more, then hire a paralegal and the desk keeps billing while you are away.

  • Built for five-minute check-ins, and it earns for eight hours while you are gone.
  • A trial is twenty seconds of OBJECTION! Every one you land raises the award.
  • Clients wait in the lobby forever. Nothing expires.

Ten practice areas, from parking tickets to the Supreme Court. Free, in the browser. Built with AI assistance; the design calls are mine. The devlog has the rest.

More about the game

Built for five to ten minute check-ins. The first firm sale lands around an hour in, and the firm keeps earning for up to eight hours while you are gone. Mouse or touch, one hand, no keyboard.

Billable is a law firm idle game. You start as one attorney above a laundromat, slamming the desk to bill parking tickets at a dollar a case, and end up running ten practice areas up to the Supreme Court at $65M a filing. Hire each desk's paralegal and the firm bills while you sleep.

Court comes to you. Cases go to trial as 20-second OBJECTION! sequences where every objection you land raises the award, and won verdicts can come back on appeal: defend the award and it pays again, doubled, with a fifth of those escalating to the Supreme Court for four times the original. Losing an appeal never claws anything back, because losing twice on the same case is punishment enough.

Every few minutes someone walks into the lobby: Mrs. Abernathy on her fourteenth professional fall, Chad's Sock Emporium, a seagull with a legal budget, Bartholomew the parrot, who testifies. Twenty-four hand-written cards, seven regulars, every card printing its real numbers and odds. Once one of them has been through the lobby five times, you can sign them as a regular, permanently. Clients wait in the lobby forever, because this firm does not do expiring offers.

When growth slows, sell the firm and start a bigger one: reputation compounds at 2% per point, and at 150 Rep you can merge the firms for a permanent nameplate. Milestones, free work that builds reputation, malpractice insurance, and Round-Up Billing (the six-minute increment, a real thing lawyers do, rounded up) are all in there.

There is sound now, a typewriter, a desk bell, a gavel, all synthesized in the browser, and a switch in Settings to turn it off.

Offline earnings bank for 8 hours and wait for a COLLECT button. Save codes move the firm between browsers. Free, in the browser. Built with AI assistance; the design calls are mine. The devlog covers the time a progress bar became a strobe light.
